Sea turtles are an animal that people don’t think about from day to day. They think about their house pets and nothing of those that live in the wild or even in the ocean. Sea turtles are facing extinction if we don’t stop throwing our plastic bags out the window. The sea turtles see the plastic bags and think it is food such as dead jellyfish. And when they try to eat it, that plastic stays in their stomachs. Over 100,000 sea turtles have been killed from plastic in their stomachs. Leather Back Turtles are threatened with extinction because of the plastic in the ocean, and if we don’t stop, then in 10 years they will be gone. So we need to do what we can to get sea turtles healthy again. So stop throwing your plastic out the window, because it ends up in the ocean.

That's terrible what's happening to the turtles, how many plastic bags are thrown out each year, and how long do they take to decompose?
ReplyDeleteThat's terrible that Leather Back turtles are going to be extinct soon if we don't do something to stop our harmful wastes. Are there any other animals that are on the verge of extinction due to this plastic problem?
ReplyDeleteIs there other ways we can help these animals? Not littering anymore would be the best way but not everyone is going to stop throwing there plastic bags out there window because of the sea turtles.
ReplyDeleteTurtles are pretty cool animals and they deserve a second chance. We need to boost conservation efforts by slowing littering and keeping our oceans clean so they and the animals they contain can be enjoyed for generations to come.
ReplyDeleteWhat can we due to try to reduce the amounts of plastic bags in the ocean? Do we even try?
